Specialist back-deck equipment provider Maritime Developments, which has a manufacturing facility in Peterhead, is poised to be a big pull at this year’s Subsea Expo.

That’s because a fully operational 40-tonne winch and 50-tonne, 4-track tensioner will form the centrepiece of the company’s presence at the international exhibition in Aberdeen.

The winch will be on the company’s stand, while the tensioner will be at the entrance to the event, which is being staged at the city’s exhibition and conference centre from February 11 to 13.

Maritime Developments commercial director Mike Gaskin said: “Our tensioner and winch ranges form key elements of our market offering. Subsea Expo represents a prime opportunity to showcase them and let visitors see, at first hand, why our kit is becoming an increasingly common feature of back-deck operations internationally.

“We’ve recently secured fresh orders for specifications of both products and, as we broaden our range even further, we are confident our market share will continue to grow.

“The winch and tensioner models are sure to be eye-catching features of this year’s event, which is an important and valuable platform for Maritime Developments.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming existing and prospective customers, as well as other industry friends, to our Subsea Expo stand.”

There will also be an opportunity for visitors to win prizes as part of a special draw being held by Maritime Developments to mark the company’s 15 years in business.

The business will be on Stand 23 at Subsea Expo 2015.
