Good vibes at Buchan recycling firm

A leading Buchan organics recycling company is celebrating after winning a prestigious accolade at environmental awards held in Glasgow.

Keenan Recycling, of New Deer, successfully secured the transport award at this year’s Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards.

The annual awards aim to recognise businesses that take significantmeasures to improve or reduce their impact on the environment.

Keenan has significantly invested in its specialist fleet of lorries in the last year, and uses bespoke low emission vehicle to collect an additional 2,000 tonnes of waste per year.Andy Gunn, transport and logistics manager, Keenan Recycling, said: “As a company, we are truly committed to safeguarding the environment and helping businesses and local authorities to improve their environmental initiatives.

“This year, we have significantly invested in our fleet of lorries, in order to reduce emissions and environmental impact of our services.
