THE hugely-popular Fraserburgh Wedding Exhition is being held next Wednesday (September 5) from 6.30pm to 9.30pm in the town’s leisure centre.

If you are planning your big day then you should definitely visit this hugely-successful event where you will certainly be spoiled for choice with an array of exhibitors and attractions including the ever-popular fashion show.

It is now one of the biggest exhibitions in the Buchan area with a large number of exhibitors from all over the North-east who are preparing to attend on the night with the intention of providing a showcase for brides to be.

The night is always very relaxed and enjoyable with everyone very aware that this is also a fundraiser for a very good cause. All proceeds from the event will yet again be gifted to The Neuk Day Centre which provides a service to people who have dementia and their families.

Exhibition organiser Lynda Skinner of the Neuk, told us: “The funds raised from this event allow many additional things to be done at the day centre in the way of celebrations which at times also involves families attending, activities suitable to the needs of those attending the day centre, keeping the garden inviting and interesting, outings and many more extras that would not be possible otherwise.”

Guests at the exhibition are under no obligation to buy, but can enjoy the experience of wedding shopping and planning for their entire wedding day or perhaps just gather information in just one single evening.

There will be bridal shops with a fashion show mid-evening from as far afield as Aberdeen, Ellon, Fraserburgh, Fochabers, Oldmeldrum and Peterhead.

And if you have already chosen a dress you may still have other areas of your wedding to arrange such as photographers, hotels, beauty and hair, events planning, cakes, strawberries, wedding lists, stationery, favours, sweetie stations/candy bars, florists, cars, music, balloons, videographers, jewellery and body toning.

The exhibition is now into its ninth year and the aim this year is to yet again provide an excellent evening for anyone who visits and our exhibitors.

Lynda explained: “We only intended doing one, and it’s incredible to think here we are staging our ninth exhibition! We continue to get very good feedback from both exhibitors and the public which is why we are now looking to put on our ninth exhibition and as in previous years we are aiming to please.

“What I can say is we will have exhibitors that are established and well known but we will also have some new exhibitors and of course a fashion show will be provided that will allow you to see dresses at their very best, completely different from looking at them on a hanger.

“All exhibitors will be there to give you the attention and information you want and can provide you with a very personal service suited to your individual needs aiming to make your day unique and special.

“With all of this under one roof it can save you months of running around looking for what you want. We are very lucky in the North-east we have some of the very best wedding services in the country on our doorstep some of which have won awards. We very much appreciate the support that has been given to us from all areas including exhibitors, the public and our sponsors over the years.
