Peterhead Projects has a new renovated caravan shop thanks to the efforts of Aberdeen Foyer’s Prince’s Trust Team 28.

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is a 12-week personal development course for 16-25yr olds.

In weeks 4-6 of the course, team members undertake a project that will benefit their local community.

For their project, Team 28 chose to renovate the caravan shop situated at the Lido.

In order to raise the necessary funds to carry out the project, they held two fundraisers at Apex Church, Peterhead -a quiz night and soup & sweet. Using the monies raised, and in only nine days, the team totally transformed the shop by rebuilding the counter, erecting new shelving, painting the walls as well as having new flooring laid.

Project development manager for Peterhead Projects, Karen Brown, said: “We would like to congratulate Team 28 on completing this project. Not only was the project big, it was also completed in such a short space of time.

“The success was down to Team 28 developing good leadership, problem solving and communication skills.

“We would like to extend our Thanks to Team 28 for their time, efforts and commitments”.

Team 28 would like to thank local businesses and everyone else who helped them to complete their community project.”
