Lifting company Plant Shifters Ltd last week announced it has secured a key contract with SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy) at Peterhead Power Station.
The Aberdeen-based company was invited by SSE to tender for a contract to remove, transport and re-install a 65 tonne twin furnace steam boiler from Peterhead Power Station as part of a refurbishment prosject.
Plant Shifters director Steve McDonald said: “We are naturally delighted to have been selected to provide these specialist services. This is our first significant contract win with SSE.
“Our recent clients and projects demonstrate the expertise and innovation of our team and the ability to deliver complex projects such as this one.
“With our full range of specialist movement equipment, we can achieve the required results with the minimum of disruption.”
Parent company GCSS Limited recently bought SURELIFT UK Ltd, and SURELIFT NDT Ltd, which offer a variety of lifting equipment and lifting services.
GCSS Limited provides project managemen to a range of firms and is made up of Plant Shifters (Scotland) Ltd, Surelift UK Limited and Surelift NDT Limited.
