A leading North-east organics recycling firm has won two contracts with Aberdeenshire Council worth a combined six figure sum.

Keenan Recycling, based at New Deer in Aberdeenshire, which transforms food and garden waste into compost, has secured contracts with the council to recycle waste from public buildings and households.

The first is to collect food waste from approximately 60 council owned properties across Aberdeenshire including primary and secondary schools, and council buildings. The second is to recycle food waste collected by the council from all the households in Aberdeenshire.
