PETERHEAD’s special needs T Club, which meets at the town’s Buchanhaven Hearts each Tuesday, benefited from a whopping £1,000-plus donation last week.

Marisa Clubb, who attends each week, recently celebrated her 25th birthday and asked guests to donate money to the club instead of giving her gifts.

A total of £255.30 was raised and Marisa handed over the cheque to the club at their meeting last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Gary and Avril Cruickshank, who the run Buchanhaven Hearts club, held a fundraiser with Celtic band Charlie and the Boys recently.

Half of the proceeds from the evening went to Thai Tims, which provides aid for children in Thailand who have lost limbs, while the other half was donated to the T Club.

Avril was on hand on Tuesday to present club members with £800 from the fundraiser.

Avril and Gary thanked everyone for their generosity in supporting their fundraiser and for the magnificent amount which was raised on the night.

Meanwhile Marisa thanked everyone who went along to her birthday bash for their kind donations to the T Club as well as the gifts she received.
