Peterhead Churches Together are continuing with their series of Lent Bible Studies with the theme “Parables and Possessions”.
The third study has the subject Betrayal and the host church is the Congregational Church, Queen Street, the meeting being on Thursday, March 20, at 7pm.
Next week, in Peterhead Methodist Church, Queen Street, on Tuesday, March 25, at 7pm the study theme is Ridicule.
Peterhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church Guild will meet on Wednesday, March 19, at 7.30pm with John and Liz Slaven – Fichering About.
Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood meets o Wednesday, March 19, at 7.15pm. The special guests are Majors Bram and Irene Williams, the Salvation Army officers in charge at Peterhead. All ladies are welcome.
The Sisterhood will be having a Buttery Morning on Saturday, March 22, from 10am till 12 noon. Admission £2, children under 5 years of age are free.
There will be the usual stalls. This is to be in the church hall at the back. All welcome.
Buchan East Presbyterial Council’s AGM is to be held in Peterhead’s Trinity Church, St. Peter Street, Heart for Art, on Thursday, March 20, commencing at 7.30pm.
Cruden Parish Church has intimated that the “Messy Church” meets in the Cruden Bay Village Hall on Thursday, March 20, at 3.15pm.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated in Cruden Parish Church on Sunday, March 23, at 10am.
The Walking Group meets at 11.30am at the Church Hall on Sunday, March 23, to walk at Delgatie Castle Woodlands.
Blythswood Care’s collecting vehicle is visiting Peterhead and district on Thursday, March 20, when all items donated to benefit the charity’s work will be received most gratefully.
The locations and times for the visit are Peterhead from 9.30am to 11.30am and Fraserburgh from 1pm to 3pm.
On Sunday, March 23, in Peterhead Old Parish Church, morning worship at 11am will be led by the Rev. Fred Coutts.
St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, is having a Family Service on Sunday, March 23, at 11am.
Deer Parish Church on Sunday, March 23, will have morning worship at 10.30am in Old Deer Church with Ros Armitage leading the service. Children’s Church meets as usual. Teas and fellowship will follow afterwards.
Later that same day, in Fetterangus Church at 4pm, a service will be led by Ali MacLeod. The theme will be Lent. Teas and fellowship will follow afterwards.
The Peterhead Festival of Gospel Male Voice Praise is to be held in Peterhead Baptist Church, King Street, on Saturday, March 22, commencing at 6.45pm.
Doors will be open at 6pm and community hymn singing is at 6.30pm.
The guest speaker is the Rev. Dr. Jeff Tippner and a freewill missionary offering will be uplifted during the evening.
Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission Ladies’ Guild meets this evening, Tuesday, March 18, at 7.15pm, the guests being Rhoda McDonald and the Strichen Youth Group.
The Sunday Nightcap Service on March 23 is at 8pm with community singing from 7.45pm.
Peterhead Old Parish Church Senior Ladies’ Fellowship will meet in the upstairs hall at 2pm on Monday, March 24. The guest speaker is Mr. Michael Cooper whose subject is The Buchan Line.
The Peterhead Congregational Church Ladies’ Guild will meet on Monday, March 24, at 6.30pm for their AGM.
Then at 7.30pm a programme is to be presented by the Peterhead St. Andrew’s Church Male Voice Choir.
A reminder is given that Peterhead St. Andrew’s Church is to be having a Rag Bag collection on Monday, April 7. The hall will be open from 10am to 4pm.
