A Peterhead charity has won recognition for its work with volunteers.
The 2Reuse service, which is part of Peterhead Projects, won the Volunteer Friendly Award following six months of hard work.
Keith Anderson and Pauline Anderson, both of the Volunteers Centre Aberdeenshire, presented a certificate and plaque to 2Reuse project manager Brenda Allan-Campbell.
2Reuse met the five key criteria which are required to achieve the award.
Commenting, Keith said: “This award is a reflection on how well Brenda and 2Reuse manage their volunteers.
“It is pleasing because young people, in particular, benefit from volunteering. They can put volunteering experiences on a CV, something which is important in the current economic climate.
“There are only six or seven organisations in the whole of Aberdeenshire which have achieved this award.
“We are delighted to be working with Brenda and the volunteers.”
Pauline added: “Brenda does incredibly well and does a great job of welcoming volunteers.”
Brenda commented: “I’m delighted with the award. This is what 2Reuse is all about.
“It’s taken time but it’s well worth it. I would certainly recommend it to other organisations.”
As well as project manager Brenda, 2Reuse has two paid members of staff and currently has 20 volunteers.
