STAFF at Peterhead’s British Heart Foundation branch dressed up in red to support the charity on Friday, February 1.

The ‘Rock up in Red’ event marked the start of the charity’s Heart Month which lasts throughout the whole of February.

Shop manager Carol Banning said: “We will have volunteers later who will be doing a street collection, sweets and balloons for the kids and we are all dressed in red!

“We also have sponsored Heart Notes that will go on our window. Businesses can get one by donating an amount such as £10, £20 or £50 and on it they can put on any special offers they have.

“We are still looking for donations and it doesn’t have to be money. You can donate clothes and bric-a-brac items.

“It is tough in this struggling recession but we are still fighting for donations and anything is welcome.”
