Two ladies, Miss M.A. MacDonald and Miss H. Phimister, are conducting a series of Bible services in the Rescue Hall, Prince Street, Peterhead, on Sunday evenings at 6 pm and also in Rora Village Hall on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.
Key points by way of emphasis are Jesus Christ as our example and the Bible as our guide.

On Wednesday, February 8, Deer Parish Church Prayer Group will meet in Old Deer Church from 6.30 to 7.15 pm.
Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood meets on Wednesday, February 8, at 7.15pm. The guest speaker is the Rev. Dr. Abi Ngunga, minister of Peterhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church. All ladies are very welcome.
Peterhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church Guild will meet on Wednesday, February 8, at 7.30 pm when Robert Esson as the guest speaker will have as his subject the Mission Aviation Fellowship.
The morning service in Cruden Parish Church on Sunday, February 12, will be at the usual time of 10am. However, there will be no meeting of the Children’s Club that morning due to school holidays.
On Sunday, February 12, morning worship at 10.30 am in Old Deer Church will be led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk. All are invited and welcome.
The Sunday School is not meeting this week but crèche facilities are still available during the service.
A service of Matins is to be held in St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, on Sunday, February 12, commencing at 11 am. St. Drostan’s is in the pastoral care of the Rev. Richard O’ Sullivan as Rector.
Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission extends a warm invitation and welcome to those who are able to join in the Nightcap Service in the Union Street premises near the harbour on Sunday, February 12, commencing at 8pm. Then on Tuesday evening, February 14, still at the Mission, there is the meeting of the Ladies’ Guild at 7.15pm.
Peterhead Old Parish Church Senior Ladies’ Fellowship will meet in the upstairs hall on Monday, February 13, at 2pm when the invited guests are Liz and John McDonald who are well known for their connection as representatives of the Faith Mission.
Also on Monday, February 13, at 7.30pm, the Peterhead Congregational Church Ladies’ Guild will welcome their guest, Amelia, to their meeting.
Peterhead Old Parish Church Guild’s next meeting is on Wednesday, February 15, at 7.30pm when the invited speaker is to be Mr. Jimmy Buchan.
Supporters of Blythswood Care are reminded that the charity’s collecting vehicle is to be visiting Peterhead and district on Thursday, February 16, when all donations of items to assist Blythswood’s extensive work will be received most gratefully.
The vehicle is to be located in the former Focus car park, off Catto Drive, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Then, after calling at Crimond at 1.15pm, the collecting point will be at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre until 4.30pm.
Cruden Parish Church “Watch and Talk” group will meet at “Burnview”, Cruden Bay on Monday, February 13, at 7.30pm.
Listed planning permission has been granted for the two temporary windows which will now be replaced soon.
Fundraising continues to replace the other windows.
Peterhead Baptist Church Senior Citizens will meet on Thursday, February 16 at 2.15pm, when the guests speakers will be John and Liz McDonald.
