Peterhead Informal Art Group will host the annual Artists’ Challenge at the town’s Rescue Hall on Wednesday, July 20.

The morning session, from 10am to 11am, is for children 12 years of age and under and will have the theme of ‘Dance’.

Judging and prizegiving will take place at 11.15am.

Materials will be provided but children may bring their own materials if they wish. They may also create a model rather than a painting.

All works are to be prepared and completed on the day.

Adults will get the chance to show off their skills in the afternoon session from 1pm to 3.15pm, again with the theme of ‘Dance’.

For those over 13 years of age, artists need to provide their own materials, and again all works are to be prepared and completed on the day.

Judging and prizegiving will commence at 3.30pm. Entry to the competition is free and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day. Entries will be judged after each sessiona and prizes and medals awarded on the day.

Meanwhile, an art exhibition will be held at the hall from 1pm to 3.30pm.
