A Buchan toddler has raised more than £200 following a Children In Need fundraising effort.

Kieran Norris (2), and his mum Lauren decided to raise money on behalf of the charity and set a target total of £100 on justgiving.

Lauren and Kieran walked three miles from Boddam to McDonald’s in Peterhead dressed in Pudsey onesies and Pudsey ears on Friday, November 18.

They set of at 11am and reached McDonalds just before noon where Kieran’s nannie, baby sister Alannah, Lauren’s friend Valleri and her daughter Charleigh were there to meet them and congratulate Kieran on his achievement.

And Kieran smashed his fundraising target, finishing up with an impressive £213.

Lauren has expressed thanks to all the lorry drivers and cars that tooted at Kieran to cheer him on and to social media sites The Only Way is Peterhead and Local Adds Just the Thing for their publicity of the fundraiser.

Kieran even got a mention on the BBC’s Children in Need programme along the bottom of the screen on the credits.

Lauren added: “I am super proud of Keiran and he’s thinking about doing it all again next year!”
