Stockjudging for young farmers

New Deer Young Farmers Club headed to West Auchmaliddie recently for their stockjudging evening by kind permission of the Wilson Family.

The club was also joined by the members of Deer and District JAC. Each member had to judge three classes of cattle and two classes of sheep which were all judged by local farmer Kevin Mallarkey.

Results were as follows:

New Deer Ladies - 1 Catherine Beaton, 2 Claire Brown, 3 Nicola Thomson.

New Deer Gents - 1 Stephen Birnie, 2= Mark Leggat and Michael Kindness, 3= Iain Birnie and James Scott.

Deer & District Ladies - 1 Eilidh Duncan, 2 Kate Massie, 3 Sarah-Jayne Morrice.

Deer & District Gents - 1 Andrew Connon, 2 Andrew Greaves, 3 Michael Gall.

Special thanks were given to the Wilson Family for taking their time to host the evening and for all the lovely fancy pieces.
