The third North East Model Farm & Construction Show will be held this Sunday.

The first show, held at Dyce, was the brainchild of Newmacher farmer and 1/32 scratch build model maker, Andy Ingram.

Andy traves to the larger model tractor shows which are held in England and thought it was time to start a model show in Aberdeen.

Last year’s show resulted in donations of £1000 being split equally between charities Brain Injury (Grampian) Group and the British Heart Foundation (Aberdeen).

This year there are 157 tables for the 44 exhibitors and traders attending. There are exhibitors coming from Wick, Lockerbie and a mother and son team from Clitheroe in Yorkshire with displays of 1/16 scale model tractors and precision scratch built implements.

Andy is being helped to organise this year’s show by Brian Gray from Tarves who also collects models and is a skilled model conversionist.

The nominated charities this year are Brain Injury (Grampian) Group and CLAN cancer support centre Aberdeen.

The show will be held at the Hilton Treetops, Aberdeen on Sunday, May 5 between 10am and 4pm.

A variety of model tractors, implements, lorries, construction cranes and scenery will be on sale from a number of traders.
