Fresh from winning an award of £50,000 in the People’s Millions in November, Modo is delighted to announce the start of the CircoModo Programme for 2014.

It was a very exciting end to a year which saw Modo move to a permanent base in the North-east.

Following on from this success it will now be possible to run a weekly CircoModo Programme for the whole of 2014 in three areas, Peterhead, Mintlaw and Fraserburgh.

Martin Danziger, artistic director of Modo North East, says: “All circus skills workshops will be free and open to all 11-25 year olds who are keen to learn new skills, participate in something challenging, have the opportunity to take part in community events and just have great fun.

“They will run during term times for the whole year. Workshops will be run by professionally trained staff and volunteers who will support participants and encourage progression.

“Progression can mean moving on to volunteering, training and recognised accreditation.”

So if you would like to go along and join in the fun, learn new skills, meet new friends and start your new year with something different the venues and times are as follows:

Tuesday 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Mintlaw Academy Gym 1

Starting on January 14. Free transport home for young people who stay outside Mintlaw.
