Twins Andrew and Peter Duncan with their new book

HOT on the heels of their first publication, Peterhead twins Peter and Andrew Duncan have published their second instalment, which is now available to buy.

‘The Twins Move on with Time and Tide’ is the sequel to ‘Mair Tales of Twin Deckies’ by the former Blue Toon skippers, who enjoyed sell-out success with their first publication filled with stories about their experiences both ashore and afloat.

Between them, the brothers have a wealth of tales and agreed to publish a second instalment following public pressure.

Peter told the Buchanie: “We started this book during the year, put stories together to produce it and completed it about a month ago.

“Some chapters are funny, some are serious and others are sad but every story is true.

“We wrote it as it came back to us.”

Their last book raised just short of £5000 over December and January alone. The twins are hoping to match or beat this amount with the new book.

“Cancer Research specialists in Aberdeen asked if we were willing to do another one after the success of our last book so we said yes.”

The twins already have 500 copies earmarked for distribution with orders coming from Shetland and the Channel Islands.

The book is already set to sell out, with copies being sent as far out as the USA and New Zealand.

When asked if they have plans to write a third book, Peter said: “We might, we will have to wait and see. God willing.

“We still have bucket loads of stories to tell.”

The new book is available from this weekend at all fishselling companies, Ian Proud Chemist of Clerkhill, the Co-op, Buchanhaven, DE Milne, North Street and the Buchan Observer office on Seagate priced £4.50.
