Encouraging turnout and great quality on display at annual Peterhead Flower Show
Peterhead Flower Show 2012 at town's Rescue Hall
The 2012 Peterhead Flower Show was held at the town’s Rescue Hall at the weekend.
The annual show was opened by Eilidh Whiteford MP and hailed a great success.
Secretary Mabel Birnie, who has been involved with the show for over 30 years, said: “It was a lovely show with masses of flowers. There was hardly a space in the hall. The turnout was good as well, it was very encouraging. We are always looking for new participants to take part. There was a slight scarcity of vegetable growers but the veg we did have was very good quality.”
