LOCAL Crime writing enthusiasts have reason to look forward - with the upcoming Unsolved Festival at Haddo House.

The schedule of events include workshops with crime writers, discussions and presentations, films and crime tours over three days this weekend.

One event - CSI Haddo - offers youngsters the opportunity to be detectives inside the house.

Spokeswoman Emma Henderson told the Times: “CSI:Haddo – in association with charity Absafe, is family event where children and adults can move from room to room in Haddo House, dusting for fingerprints, interviewing suspects, testing DNA under the microscope, and examining clues that will help them crack the case.

“The plot, set at Haddo House has been written by local crime writer Bill Kirton, best known for the popular Jack Carston series.”
