Buchanhaven Heritage Society will be hosting its latest general exhibition on Saturday, December 7, at the Buchanhaven Community Centre between 12noon and 4pm.
A wide range of photographs and artefacts will be on display throughout the afternoon, with many never seen before in public.
Ahead of their annual Carol Service the exhibition will also allow visitors to collect their free tickets for the service on December 13, with seating capacity set at 60. Although the service is free of charge, collection tins will be on hand for the Salvation Army, who will play at the service.
Tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis, so try and arrive early at the exhibition to avoid disappointment.
The service will end another successful year for the society and the group is pleased to announce the first volume of the history of Buchanhaven has now gone to the printers for a soft cover option and will be available soon to purchase at a cost of £10.
Group vic-chair, Elizabeth Milne said: “ The arrival of the books will be an exciting time for all those involved with the society and already there is huge interest from visitors to the centre. We hope to progress to Volume II in 2014 and we are already planning an exciting calendar for the year ahead.”
