Mrs Carol Addison, President gave a warm welcome at the Thursday, February 20 meeting of Longside WRI.
The evening’s programme was provided by Buchan Heritage Players.
This was an open evening.
Buchan Heritage Players gave members a brilliant night of entertainment.
Rebecca and Rachel played “The Bairns Song” on their fiddles which was lovely, Bill and Rebecca sang a duet, “Green Grow the Rashes O”.
Rebecca then entertained everyone with a beautiful solo, “I Walking Home” and Liz gave a lovely solo.
Members then heard two humorous recitations from Ros entitled, “My Younger Days” and “My Medication”.
What made the evening so special for everyone was a delightful solo of “How Much is That Doggie in the Window?” by Rachel who is only eight-years-old.
Tea was then served by Mrs Patricia Marshall and hostesses.
The raffle was then drawn.
Mrs Patrica Marshall expressed the votes of thanks to the Buchan Heritage Players bringing the lovely evening to a close.
Mrs Carol Addison briefly mentioned a visit to see “The Great Tapestry of Scotland” at Aberdeen Art Gallery on Friday, March 7 which a few of the members were interested in.
Mrs Reid welcomed Crimond WRI members to m embers night.
After business was dealt with, members enjoyed a few games of Bingo, a quiz and a guess the baby competition.
Margaret and Ruth judged the Fruit Loaf competition, results as follows:
