Amateur club is on the road to success

Peterhead Boxing Club has reached a significant milestone, by purchasing its own 17-seat minibus.

The well-maintained motor was formally owned by the Gordon’s school in Elgin, which was famously attended by Charles the Prince of Wales, and has the royal seal of approval from all members of the club. A club spokesman said: “In recent years we have arguably been one of the most travelled boxing clubs in Scotland. We’re on the road most weekends, and have been throughout Scotland, England, and Wales. We have in the past had to take two or three cars to transport our guys which prove to be higher costs, an inconvenience, and perhaps a higher risk due to more road users. The bus provides a great atmosphere because all the lads can travel together. We can use the bus to venture further for quality sparring, and is proving to be a valued asset to the club.’

The club wishes to thank all sponsors and local support it continues to receive, which allows them to continue to develop and grow. It is actively looking for any local business who are interested in renting annual advertisement space on the minibus. For further information contact James on 07912 786 452.
