The RNLI recently organised a buttery morning to raise funds as part of Peterhead Scottish Week.

The event was held at the town’s Palace Hotel, with around 15-20 volunteers helping out. The organisers expected over 150 people to visit for teas, coffees and butteries.

A number of special guests were in attendance including Councillor Stephen Smith as well as the Buchan Queen and princesses.

Susan Davidson, who has been a volunteer with the RNLI for 10 years, got involved with the charity because her husband is a crew member. Commenting on the buttery morning, she said: “I’m very happy with how things are going. The turnout has been good and we have been very busy, even at the start of the morning.

“We would like to thank everyone who has come out to support us today,” she added.
