READY TO GO: Mintlaw Mo Sista' Sarah & Jemma and Bro' Ryan

Mintlaw Mos are only weeks away from their big six-day West Highland Way walk.

Mo Sista’ Jemma Finnie updated us with the teams progress: “The training has been going well with us walking as much as we can at the weekends and spreading the word. It’s great how many people know about what we’re doing. Hopefully the time and miles we’ve put in will mean our legs and feet are in good shape for the 6 days we’ll be spending on them! We’re keen to take on Ben Nevis the day after we finish the West Highland Way as well for an extra challenge – and seems rude not to since we’ll be in Fort William anyway!”

“It’s not too late to show your support; although we’re accepting cash or cheque donations (payable to ‘Movember’ and given to myself or a member of the team) if it is easier for people to donate online they can do so by going to http://mosista.co/jemsmf. It’s such a good group of people doing the walk that I know it will be a success and there’ll be plenty laughs along the ‘Way’. The goal is to get a substantial start to the fundraising for the Movember Mintlaw Mo’s for 2012 – let’s see if we can top 2011’s total of £11,267!”

“I think everyone just can’t wait for the walk, we’ve done so much training walking round the area and on the Formartine and Buchan Way especially that we’re looking forward to a change of scenery! I’d say that’s what I’m looking forward to the most as the West Highland Way is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m just so pleased to be going with such a good group of people.”
