Animal lovers in Aberdeenshire are being invited to experience the trip of a lifetime while raising vital funds for the Scottish SPCA.

Exciting challenges include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and trekking the Inca Trail.

Graeme Innes, manager of the Scottish SPCA’s Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, said: “This really is a fantastic way for people to get involved and help animals in their local community.

“There are over 30 amazing adventures to choose from and they cater for all abilities, from reasonably moderate challenges to extreme adventures.

“Events take place in some of the most beautiful parts of the world, including the Himalayas, Tanzania, Cambodia and Peru.

“There are also trips closer to home in the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and France, to name just a few.

“It’s a great way for people to travel somewhere they’ve never been before while making a real difference to the lives abused, abandoned and injured animals in Aberdeenshire.

“There is a registration fee for all the trips as well as a minimum fundraising target and we’ll do everything we can to help people meet their goal.

“We’d love to hear from anyone interested in taking on one of these exciting challenges and we’ve no doubt that those who sign up will never forget their experience.”

Anyone interested in taking part in one of these exciting events can call the Scottish SPCA fundraising team on 03000 999 999 (option 4) or email fundraising@scottishspca.org for further information.
