Take part in the Port Parade

The Modo is looking for a group of folk from Peterhead aged 10+ to take part in a parade in Aberdeen on August 4.

Workshops will be free, and transport will be arranged from Peterhead to Aberdeen on the day of the parade.

Modo has been asked to create a spectacular parade through the centre of Aberdeen celebrating the culture and community of the city through the history of its port, brought to life by hundreds of young folk from City and Shire.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF), hundreds of young performers from Aberdeen and beyond take to the streets to create an amazing parade.

Practice times and dates are 2pm-5pm, Tuesday 17, 24, 31 July in Peterhead Community Centre and the parade is from 12noon – 1pm, Saturday August 4, Aberdeen.
