Old Deer Parish Church held a Glorious 12th barbeque at Aden Country Park on Sunday, August 12.

The event was held so that members of the church could spend time together, and it is thought that around 60 people attended the barbeque at any one time during the afternoon.

The main organiser of the event was Sarah Wilkin, who is a member of the Friends of Aden Group and Deer Parish Church.

Commenting, Ali MacLeod, who is an elder of Deer Parish Church, said: “It was a superb day. The sun shone virtually all day and the food was terrific. The children, in particular, had a whale of a time.

“We would like to say thank you to Ewan Morrice and the Davidsons of Auchtydonald, who provided the produce for the day. We would also like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who made the day such a great success,” she added.

The organisers of the barbeque have already started planning next year’s event.
