New Deer Young Farmers celebrate 90th anniversary

WITH 2012 marking its 90th year, New Deer Young Farmers Club celebrated the milestone by forming a new committee to help organise events to make the year a memorable one.

On Sunday, October 28, past and present members of the club are invited to attend an Over 30s vs. Under 30s football match at Kessock Park, Fraserburgh - kick off 2pm - with spectators encouraged to cheer them on.

A stockjudging and valuation has been arranged for Saturday, November 3 by kind permission of Ian and Rosemary Pirie, Overton of Bruxie, Maud at 1.30pm open to all past and present members of the club.

The celebrations will be rounded off with a dinner and dance which is open to all past and present members and friends on Saturday, November 10 at the Waterside Inn, Peterhead. The committee is also on the lookout for any old trophies or photographs which it hopes to display on the night.
