Students from Banff and Buchan College are hosting a literary evening, on Thursday this week featuring award-winning author Stuart MacBride.

Stuart will discuss his new book, Close to the Bone, and will then hold an informal question and answer session.

The evening has been organised and planned by students studying on the Access to Social Sciences course.

Lecturer Rory Enright said: “The students organised this event in order to practice their planning and development skills, whilst raising money for a great cause. We would like as many people as possible to come along and support this event.

“Stuart has kindly agreed that all the proceeds will go towards the Access to Social Sciences charity campaign, and this year, the money will be donated to the fundraising effort for Lilyanne Weir, who suffers from Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome.”

There will be an opportunity to purchase Close to the Bone during the course of the evening which Stuart will happily sign. In addition, there will be a chance to win a £50 book on the night.
