Sunday, September 30, saw the inaugural Banff and Buchan Bridal Bash which was held at the newly refurbished Banff and Buchan College in Fraserburgh.

The event showcased more than 80 of the leading wedding companies and venues and the whole event created a wow factor for the 500 potential brides to be and their families.

Many commented on the breathtaking array of stands and the overwhelming variety of ideas on display.

There was everything the bride-to-be could want in order for her wedding day to go without a hitch - and all under the one roof.

From fashion to jewellery, from flowers to cupcakes, from tiaras to travel - the Buchan Bridal Bash had it all.

One bride-to-be told the Buchanie: “It was a really good event and there were loads of companies to visit.

“There were event a few things I hadn’t thought about and it was great to be able to talk to the companies first hand and find out a bit about what they could offer.

“This was a great event for any bride-to-be and I’m glad I went along on the day.”

A fashion show, held during the afternoon, had standing room only and highlighted the following companies:- Moments Bridal, La’Orr, The Fountain, Alternative Frocks, Celebrations of Turriff, Georgian Dress Hire and Isabelle Randall.

The event was also aimed at helping potential beauty therapists and hairdressers, training at the college to give them some worthwhile experience.

Their work on the day will all add to their final course work results.

Organisers, The Ideas In Partnership team, all felt the event had gone really well and are already looking towards hosting another event on an even bigger scale next year.
