Peterhead netted a late equaliser to earn a point in a game where the visitors created and missed a hatful of chances.
This was definitely a case of two points dropped by Albion who struck the woodwork three times and generally did everything but score from the many opportunities they carved out in an impressive display which surely confirms they will be one of the t
eams involved in the play-offs.
By contrast, the Blue Toon, despite a large amount of possession, failed to trouble the Stirling goal on all but a few occasions. The point keeps them in with an outside chance of fourth place but with the teams immediately above them winning, Peterhead remain outside bets.
To make matters worse, Martin Bavidge suffered a stomach muscle strain and Bobby Mann a recurrence of his knee injury that may see them a doubt for the trip to Stenhousemuir.

Ryan Strachan dropped back to his favoured defensive roll to replace the suspended Jon Crawford with Neil McVitie replacing him in midfield.
A goalless but enjoyable first half saw the visitors pepper the Peterhead goal but fail to overly trouble Paul Jarvie.
On loan Hamilton striker Stuart Elliot was the Beanos main threat and after 10 minutes he slipped the ball to his right for Nathan Taggart to test Jarvie with a shot from the edge of the area.
Four minutes later Taggart shot across goal and beyond the post and minutes later Elliot fired inches wide of the right hand upright.
The Blue Toon threat was sporadic. The nearest they came to a goal was a 10th minute Nicky Clark looping header which landed on the roof of the net from a Graeme Sharp right wing cross with many of the home fans on their feet celebrating what looked like a goal.

Sharp was denied in the 26th minute. His attempted lob was tipped over for a corner by keeper Myles Hogarth. Five minutes later McVitie broke forward from midfield but his shot was easily gathered by Hogarth.
Albion twice looked like going in front in the minutes leading up to half time. First Ross Forsyth sent a shot crashing off the crossbar with Stuart Smith blocking Elliots shot from the rebound. Moments later Jarvie produced a fine save from an Andy Graham header following a corner kick.
Six minutes after the re-start Callum McDonald headed wide from a Sharp free kick with Albion responding with an Elliot shot which thundered of the bar.
McDonald then bravely blocked another Elliot shot before the breakthrough eventually came with 9 minutes remaining, David Obrien curling a low shot into the bottom corner from 18 yards and the points looked like heading south.
However, in the 86th minute Peterhead fought back and leveled with a well executed goal, substitute Peter Bruce cutting the ball back from the right of goal for Clark to clip a shot into the roof of the net from 8 yards.
