Peterhead toasts the bard

PETERHEAD Burns Club held its annual Burns Supper on Friday, January 22.
A large turnout was welcomed by club president, Robert Forman, who introduced guests for the evening, Gerry Smith, Jack Webster and John Burgess.

The Address to the Haggis was this year given by club member Alan Ross, with Jack Webster reciting Puir Auld Scotland. Replying on behalf of the guests was John Burgess.

Bill Beat gave the toast to the president, while members enjoyed recitations by Malcolm Whyte and Iain Fraser, music from fiddlers Paul and David Anderson, and songs from Robert Lovie. Piper for the evening was Scott Stevenson. Pictures: Dr Douglas Nicol
