Pair sought after car crashes into Longside house

INVESTIGATIONS are still on-going after a vehicle crashed into a house at Longside last week.
The crash, which occurred last Tuesday at the village's Main Street, saw a car plunge into the conservatory of a local resident's home.

The conservatory has remained boarded up since the crash and police are still looking for any information.

ast week, police reported that two men were seen running from the scene of the crash moments after it happened at around 4.30am on Tuesday, February 23.

The resident, Agnes Forsyth, was said to be asleep at the time of the crash and reported to be shocked at what had happened.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash to contact them.

Meanwhile, motorists are advised that the C51B Yorkieshill Road from the A952 junction to Inn Brae, Longside, was closed yesterday (Monday), for five days to allow for repairs to a burst water main.

An alternative route will be signposted via the A952 via South Street, Mintlaw to the A950, the A950 to Inn Brae, Longside, Inn Brae to Inverquhomery Road.

These road closures are necessary to ensure the health and safety of both the workforce and the travelling public.

Aberdeenshire Council has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause while this work is being completed.
